Quality Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
The QUALITY MANAGER leads the Quality Assurance process.
This position is responsible for the following main duties:
▪ Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product and customer requirements with the management team.
▪ Establishes in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods, developing testing methods and procedures.
▪ Establishes standards for the disposition of finished product by evaluating tests, methods, and procedures.
▪ Establishes rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
▪ Establishes product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
▪ Act as Management Representative for Quality and Environment Management systems.
▪ Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and legal requirements.
▪ Collaborate with other members of management team to develop new product and processes.
▪ Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
▪ Establishes quality assurance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on test results.
▪ Maintains quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
▪ Maintains quality assurance staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees and appraising job results.
▪ Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
▪ Achieves financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
▪ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
▪ Suggests and contributes to the Capital Projects for product and process improvements.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE
– Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy / Material science/ Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or equivalent
– Experience with People Management, Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Technical Understanding, Promoting Process Improvement, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures,
– Experience working with Stainless Steels and Nickel Alloys is a plus
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
– 5 years in Quality Assurance
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
– Experience in management, operations and leadership, Dealing with Complexity, Problem Solving, Process Improvement

$115,000 annual
