Industrial Maintenance Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Objective
Responsible for the maintenance and preventive maintenance of building facilities, production equipment, and grounds equipment to insure minimal lost production due to breakdowns, downtime and provide a safe and healthy environment for teammates.
Responsibilities:
A summary of the essential functions of the position includes but are not limited to the following:
1. Actively seek training and experience to perform each responsibility as listed below.
2. Provide maintenance support of production equipment and building facilities to maximize production output.
3. Trouble-shoot and repair all production equipment and machinery as required. Make recommendations to eliminate repetitive failures.
4. Inspect, maintain, and repair facility support systems and associated equipment, such as fire protection systems, electrical distribution, heating/air conditioning, compressed air, central vacuum system, steam generation and distribution, dust collection and utility services.
5. Perform preventative maintenance and associated records as outlined in the preventive maintenance program. Make recommendations of improvement as needed.
6. Fabricate fixtures and secondary tooling as requested.
7. Report to the Maintenance Supervisor any maintenance repairs that need to be prioritized and scheduled to prevent equipment failure and lost production.
8. Report to the Maintenance Supervisor any maintenance related tasks that may require outside support or services in an expeditious manner.
9. Maintain responsible work areas and job sites in a clean and organized manner to ensure a safe workplace.
10. Follow and support compliance of all Company policies, procedures and guidelines.
11. Daily completion of accurate complete time log with Account Codes of work performed.
12. Follow proper handling, labeling, placement and spill avoidance procedures when working with industrial and or hazardous waste.
13. Perform and / or assist with other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
A. Education: High school education (technical and/or industrial emphasis preferred) or GED equivalent required.
* Preferer prior educational training with hazardous waste management processes.
B. Experience: Minimum 0-2 years in maintenance field with mechanical, basic electrical, Three-phase electrical and experience in the various welding techniques.
* Prefer prior hazardous waste management process experience.
