About This Brake Press Operator Job in Texas

As a Brake Press Operator, you will operate brake press machinery to bend and form sheet metal into parts according to exact specifications. You must be accurate, detail-oriented, and able to maintain quality while working at production speed. Clear communication with your team is essential.

Pay: $18–$21 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Friday overtime when available

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press equipment safely and efficiently

• Set up, adjust, and run brake press machinery based on job orders

• Read blueprints, measurements, and part specifications

• Perform accurate metal forming with minimal waste

• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, angles, and quality

• Maintain production speed while ensuring safety compliance

• Troubleshoot basic machine issues and perform minor adjustments

• Communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers

• Keep work area clean and organized

Requirements

• Experience operating a brake press or similar metal-forming machine preferred

• Ability to read measurements and convert fractions

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work quickly and make decisions fast

• Must be reliable, sharp, and able to stand for long periods

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs

• Safety-focused mindset and ability to follow instructions

• Good communication and teamwork skills
