CNC Saw Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: On-Site, Durant, OK

Pay Rate: $17hr

Shift / Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Voluntary Over-Time

Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Set up and operate computer controlled machines or machine functions on polyurethane foam, polystyrene foam, and aramid honeycomb materials.
  2. Load profiles into machine software using windows file explorer.
  3. Calculate machine speed and feed rations and size and position of cuts.
  4. Load, lineup and adjust material onto machine table.
  5. Transport materials to and from saw area as needed.
  6. Make sure that the machine is cutting the material properly by observation.
  7. Modify feed rate and blade speed for quality purposes.
  8. Use measuring tools to measure materials and make sure they are the size needed to make the product.
  9. Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specification, using measuring tape, or square table and comparing them to drawings. Perform in depth quality checks.
  10. Use pallet Jack and hand truck. Keep and maintain a clean work environment.
  11. Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for the problem.
  12. Confer with Senior CNC operator and maintenance personnel to resolve broken or worn machine malfunctions or production errors to obtain approval to continue production.
  13. Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance on designated equipment.
  14. Use a baling machine to bale un-needed waste.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training.

Must possess Knowledge of:

  • Machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
  • Computers and peripherals.
  • Microsoft office systems.

Must be Able to:

  • Add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
  • Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
  • Read and understand basic documents (work instructions, procedures).
  • Communicate effectively.

Physical Demands:

Lots of crawling, standing, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and occasional walking and carrying up to 10 lbs.
