CNC Saw Operator
JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: On-Site, Durant, OK
Pay Rate: $17hr
Shift / Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Voluntary Over-Time
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate computer controlled machines or machine functions on polyurethane foam, polystyrene foam, and aramid honeycomb materials.
- Load profiles into machine software using windows file explorer.
- Calculate machine speed and feed rations and size and position of cuts.
- Load, lineup and adjust material onto machine table.
- Transport materials to and from saw area as needed.
- Make sure that the machine is cutting the material properly by observation.
- Modify feed rate and blade speed for quality purposes.
- Use measuring tools to measure materials and make sure they are the size needed to make the product.
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specification, using measuring tape, or square table and comparing them to drawings. Perform in depth quality checks.
- Use pallet Jack and hand truck. Keep and maintain a clean work environment.
- Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for the problem.
- Confer with Senior CNC operator and maintenance personnel to resolve broken or worn machine malfunctions or production errors to obtain approval to continue production.
- Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance on designated equipment.
- Use a baling machine to bale un-needed waste.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
Must possess Knowledge of:
- Machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
- Computers and peripherals.
- Microsoft office systems.
Must be Able to:
- Add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
- Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Read and understand basic documents (work instructions, procedures).
- Communicate effectively.
Physical Demands:
Lots of crawling, standing, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and occasional walking and carrying up to 10 lbs.
