About This Shear Operator Job in Sherman TX

In this role, you will operate shear machinery to cut metal accurately and safely. You must be dependable, fast on your feet, and ready to communicate clearly with your team.

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Friday overtime as needed

Pay:

• $18–$21 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Operate shear machines with accuracy

• Read, convert, and calculate fractions quickly

• Cut full sheets of metal to reduce waste

• Work fast while staying focused on safety

• Communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors

• Inspect materials for quality and accuracy

• Keep your area clean and organized

• Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Strong skills in reading and working with fractions

• Ability to use entire sheets of metal with minimal waste

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Must be sharp, fast-thinking, and detail-oriented

• Experience with metal or industrial machinery preferred
